2 Filters?

Hey Everyone! I was wondering what yall think, I have a Penguin 150 that i replaced my TopFin30 for. i was wondering if it would be better to run them both in the same tank, and just turn down the TopFin30? I have 6 Tiger Barbs, Rubber nose pleco and 2 Silver Dollars(small) in my tank. any suggestions would be helpful.

Hello Diggems. A good rule of thumb for filtration is the gallons per hour (GPH) should be 8 to 10 x the volume of the tank. So for you 30g tank, 240gph to 300gph would be ideal. I'm not familiar with the types of filters you're using and their gph levels.

Ok i have done a little research, My Penguin 150 BioWheel is rated for 150gph. And the TopFin30 is rated for 150gph si it would be a good thing to run both than just running the penguin150 biowheel?

Your filtration should be fine and personally I would run both as long as your fish aren't being forced around the tank by the current.
