Question: Just as Good?

Hello everyone, I am planning to do a DIY canister filter and I have a question about the media.

Do these work as good as bio-balls? Has anyone used them? What is your opinion? Dish out for the bio-balls? Thanks!

(Has anyone else built a filter, I have an idea for mine but was wondering what other people have done)

Good morning LilMan. If I'm not mistaken Shawnie has used the same thing in some of her filters or at least something similar. As long as they are chemical and soap free I don't see why they wouldn't work. Have a good day today!
