I have always had an aquarium , the last being 20 gallons. I purchased a low boy 40 gallon and was not watching when the guy discoonected everything!
He stated that this unit was set up for just one riser which he said went in the right corner of the tank when it is in place on the stand.
Several questions?
1. I am assuming the
powerhead sits inside the riser tube which fits in the one piece slotted underground white filter?
2. The white filter has 4 riser tube holes on the back of it. Shouldn't there be some type of cap on the other three so the gravel does not fall in those holes?
3. If they do need a cap, can I just cut circles of sponge and insert it in those holes?
OR do I need to put in more risers? Truly at a loss with his set up. Oh also, am going to use a filter that hung on the back of the 20 gallon and an airstone for this new set up..
One last question? The 20 gallon is completely balanced so can I use most of that water to fill part of the new tank so I don't have to wait so long to transfer all my fancy tail guppies?
I am a newbie on this site and hopefully did,'t ask too many questions at one time. Thanking you in advance for any input you can give me.
