what flow rate for fantails (goldfish)

Just bought 200l tank (55g)? for 3 fantails but tank came with a jebo R3100kg filter rated at 900l/hr (powerhead), is this too strong a filter/pump?
Would like to know if there is a flow rate across top of tank that I can gauge to.
Tank is 0.9m across.
Thinking of modifying outlet into an exhaust expansion chamber. any ideas ?

Hello. As for filtration, the filter you choose should be 8 to 10 x the volume (50g) of your tank. So for a 50g tank 400 to 500 gallons per hour (GPH) would be recommended. I'm not familiar with the filter that you have listed. The goldfish should be fine within these limits. Being that goldfish are major waste producers you may even want to go a little more than 500gph. As long as the fish aren't being thrown around the tank and having to struggle to stay in one place all is well
Too, if there is room you can add additional bio filter media into your filter. More than what came with it if possible.

Aquarist48 is right. I tried to run at 5x the volume and there were particles of stuff everywhere. Goldies are messy fish. Recently I added another HOB of the same capacity and am well over 10X flow now and the water is crystal clear. The filters dont churn up the water too much and the fish still swim around easily.

Thanks for the info guys,
I have calculated there is 167 Litres in tank, filtration is 440l/hr for Eheim and 900 for Jebo total of 1340l/hr - Aiming for 1670
BUT but but ....
the thing that I have thought of with the Jebo P-Head is, does the 900l/hr rating equate to 900l when most of the water doesn't actually go through a filtering system, it just blasts back into the tank At a guestimate, i would say 25% is filtered, the rest jetted back for the Jebo. meaning 225l now for the Jebo, am I correct in thinking this or not.
any ideas?

Good morning. As long as you stick with 3 goldfish in the 167l I think you will be fine with the filtration you have mentioned Best of luck.
