| | Fish Helper | do fish get stuck to filters often? hi, a about 2 months ago one of my fish got stuck to my filter and a few days later passed away (had it not been for one of its tank mates -who whenever she got near the filter would get inbetween her and the filter and also helped her stay a float by supporting her very gently-she would not have lasted tht long). to solve this problem me and mi father put PVC pipe around the filter and drilled holes in it so tht stuff could get thru and be sucked into the filter. it has worked quite well since the pull of it is not strong enough to get one of mi fish stuck to the filter. mi question is: do fish get stuck to filters often? |

| | Fish Addict | I never had experience with fish getting stuck to filters but when my fish gets to close it quickly swims away. |

Your dad had a good idea. You could also have attached a peice of filter floss to the intake. |
