hi i have fluval 405 external filter and just wondered what to put in as the media i have the following fish
8" tire track eel
pictus catfish
siamese male
4 angels
3 clown loaches#
and soon to add apollo shark

at the moment i have got 2 large pads, ceramic rings and carbon


the water seems to be dirty and at every 2 weekly 25% water change theres loads of eaten food anbd poo in the gravel,
its 350 litre (92gallon)
please advise

consider live plants if you dont already have them

fluval 405...isn't that a filter thats made to filter tanks that are UNDER your 90-some gallons? for some reason i'm thinking it is? if so, thats your problem right there..

in the back of the fluval filters instruction manual though it advertises many dif. types of available media, & even gives a brief description of the uses of each one.
