Pump flow rate too slow?

Hi Everyone

Have just set up a canister filter to process a 500 litre tank, and I think the flow rate is low. I calculated 5 litres in 60 seconds! Is that too slow?

A filter is supposed to pass around 10 times the volume of the tank in an hour. So yours works out to be 300 litres/hour its not too much, but I think It'd suffice.

Thanks.
I installed some click on connectors which I may remove from the lines - this should improve the flow rate.
