can my filters seed in 2 weeks ???

I know this question has been asked a million times ,people say 2 weeks, 3 week, even up to a month, I know the longer the better, but can i get my new filters to seed in 2 weeks in my well established tank??

I think the 2 weeks is the least..and as you know the more the better...I did seed one at work in 2 weeks and as long as its established, (the tank has been cycled for 2 years) I think the 2 weeks would be ok

It all depends on what you are trying to achieve and quantity/types of fish vs volume plus amt of food given.

well it depends, if you are taking a piece of filter media from a very well established 120 gallon tank with lots of fish and putting it into a 10 gallon tank with a betta or some guppies or something like that, i doubt you'll have any problems. but if you're trying to put a piece of filter media from a 10 gallon tank with just a betta into a 20 gallon tank with a bigger community, you probably won't be able to sustain the cycle.

hope that helps

I don't understand if you can wait two weeks, why can't you wait 3 or 4?
