about the last post

sorry guys, on the last post my computer closed the internet and the post went wacko, well anyway what is the best filter for a fry tank, because I will be getting livebearers soon and would like to know this. vote above!

Sponge filters are by far the best filters for fry tanks. They are not only gentle but infusoria and micro-critters grow on them for food for small fry to eat.

I agree with Butterfly.

Sponge for fry is the safest filtration system. Your fry tank only needs biological filtration; however you could add activated charcoal if the design allows it and you wish to (I do).

I keep sponge fry filters running in several tanks to have them fully seeded, just in case.

The word 'micro-critters' gives me a fuzzy feeling inside for some reason hehe.

I also /agree about the sponge filter. Lots of styles and sizes to choose from too.
