29 Gallon Tank: HOB filter extenders

Should I worry about my HOB intake tube not getting down near the bottom of the tank. It only goes down a short ways.

It doesnt need to reach the bottom of the tank most intakes are mid water..

Then the benefit of having the extender is what? To get more tank circulation in the water?

In my opinion yes, it would be so that the water is circulated better. If your intake tube is towards the bottom of the tank, then you are pulling water from the bottom and adding it back in to the top... I am not sure if it REALLY makes a difference though.
