Which filter?

Hi,
I am thinking of getting a new tank, either a 180L or 200L. The ones i've seen come with external filters included.
What I want to know is, Are external filters better or worse than internal ones?
I have only used internal filters!
My second question is, Which filter is best out of Fluval or Juwel?

Thanks!

for f/w a external is better imo as its larger for added filtration and less mess to clean plus adding more room in tank to add other things and less sightly ,, when i had f/w tanks i only used a fluval cannister filter which lasted me several years as never owning a juwel filter i cant comment

Well to some people external filters are better, I usually have large sumps, since I have a 350 gallon tank, along with my 29, and 200 gallon tank, my 29 and 200 is the only one that uses a side filter.

My 350 gallon has a sump, and an external filter to help clean my water.

I usually do frequent water changes, about every 5 days, aka every Fridays.

Also, I have a reverse osmosis water system in my home too and an oasis that helps with the clean water. I do use water purifiers, and I still put in aqua clear, and cycle

Canister filters provide superior mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration for larger aquariums or aquariums with a lot of fish.

Each media type is layered on top of each other to maintain excellent water quality. Compared to power filters, canister filters require slightly more effort to set up and maintain. However, you will be amazed by their filtering power.

These multipurpose filters are ideal for African and South American Cliched aquariums, saltwater aquariums, as well as freshwater planted aquariums.

Well, I am using External Filter to my Aquarium which I got right here >>> Agritura.com
