i am changing my substrate to sand and i am planning on getting a new filter (due to mine being a little bit to small for my tank). i have a 29 gallon tank and i plan to have 6 black phantom tetras,2 bristle nose catfish, 2 clown loaches and 5 blue ram cichlids.

canister filter would be the best option i have 2x 1000lph in my 65g i highly recomend them.. also HOB(hang on back) filters are very good

Mine are a couple of cheap imported ones i got on trademe/nz type of ebay..
For $100 each good filters
