Yesterday I bought the Penguin 100 Bio-Wheel Power Filter for my 10 g tank. I put it in the tank last night while my older filter was still in there (Elite Hush 10). Right now I have both running in the tank and I also too a spounge from the Elite into the Bio-wheel. How long do you think I should run both for the bio-wheel to have the growth of enough beneficial bacteria so I can move the Elite to my 5 g tank (right now ther is the Elite hush 5). In my 10 g tank I have 2 dalmation mollies, 3 female guppies and 1 platy, 1 aqua nursery with baby mollies and 1 breeder net with baby guppies. I don't want to loose any of these fish. Thanks!!

I'd leave it in for about 2 weeks.
