i donno i just looked it up and those dimensions are for 125 gallon i think? they are asking 1000$

Under aquarium articles on the tool bar is an aquarium calculator.
Sounds like their misrepresenting gallon size or just don't know. Doesn't sound like a bad price for all that.

oh thanks for the help on the calculator :P well i figure if they are asking 1000 for a 250 gallon and it turns out its only half that size.. maybe ill just offer 500 n see what happend !

Kieley: That tank is a big tank nevertheless. I have 6footer slighlty bigger than yours (145USgal, 120UKgal).
For the tank only (custom made, without canopies, lights, filters, stand) -and tanks are really expensive in Santo Domingo- I paid around 465USD.
As long as the tank is in good conditions (no leaks), I find it to be a good offer, bargain the price due to their mistaken info. I truly hope you get it. Tanks this big are another story, at least from my limited experience (1 month?).

If the tank doesn't have leaks, it's a good price. The stands and filters (I think that's a canister) are really expensive, normally. Not an awesome price, but good.

well i saw an 125 set-up new for around 800 so that dosen't sound like a bad deal as long as its condition is good...that would make me nervous buying used tanks that big...when i got my 29 hex and my 55 off craigslist i was nervous the first time filling them up
