Wondering should i take one off

I currently have 2 pwer filters running on my 14g tank... one is rated at 160 gph and other is i think 100 gph... I currently have tetras and corys and I was wondering will this all add up to too much current in your opinions... and if not what is the maximum... i currently have a big hair algae problem and heard that adding filtration may make it not to come back... also even if i do get rid of my smaller filter i wanted my new one to try and get at least some bacteria in it... also i was thinking about starting some java moss in the tank and i was wondering if this would be ok for them...

I know this is a lot of questions but thank you ahead of time for at least reading...

I would be fine with that if the fish don't look like they're having any trouble getting around and getting food.

Java moss could end up sucked to the intake tubes, but I'm not sure. It would depend on the currents.

to slow the current, a filter sponge can be placed over the output to slow the current
