36 G CORNER Bow Front - Looking for filter??

Hey guys...I am setting up my new 36G bowfront corner aquarium and am having a problem finding a HOB filter that fits.

It is a beautiful tank, but I didn't even consider the filter issue, and just bought an Emperor filter. It is a great filter, however it is way too wide for the small space in the "point" corner where the filter will go.

I am scouring the web as well, but was hoping perhaps someone else has dealt with this same issue. My hubby is trying to convince me to go canister, but I am not sure I am ready for that.

I believe there is an Aqueon filter that "looks" not as wide, but I suppose I will have to call some of these on line places for exact measurement.

Any suggestions or ideas are truly welcome. Thanks.

Wish I could help!!

But I can tell you this, we switched to a canister ( after much complaining on my end because to me they were confusing) and its kept my 75 gallon the cleanest ive ever seen..not sure if its because of the filter, or my never ending water changes but either way, ive been able to cut back some changes and I do feel its the filter...even if I hated the idea because it wasnt an "easy slip the cartridge in and out" !! LOL

Hmm.. how wide is the spot for the filter? Would a submersible filter be a workable option?

I have to agree with Shawnie! If you ask me the canister is the way to go! I had an Ehime on my fresh water tank for years and it was great. No maintenance and very easy to deal with and clean! Just make sure it is set up right!
