Okay, I am getting that tank tomm and I am going to get a new canister filter as well. I dont' know which filter I want this time. I have been looking at the maineland canisters, fluval, and eheims. I know what I am getting into w/ the eheims I have 2 already. I wonder if I should go ahead w/ another since I am used to the eheim, and when I buy the filter media I won't have to buy 2 or 3 diff brands.

Any suggestions? I am also going to put a penguin on the back. I have penguins on the backs of my tanks as well.

If your anything like me, stick with what you know. Plus like you said, you wont have to worry about different products or if this will work with that. I say stick with eheim. just my 2c worth.

The Rena XP series are nice canisters at a good price. I have 2 and love them. Can't speak to the others...never owned them!
