NEW FILTER(fluval 105)

hello there people i just bought a brand new fluval 105 filter for my 29 gallon tank in the box it say's that its for 25 gallons, i think being 4 gallon over its not being deal so, im taking extra precaution so i left my old 30 gallon whisper but having the two filters is making a lot of water movement would my fish be okay?

Fish should be just fine, keeping your old filter will help you save the cycle that is already established, and in my way of thinking a filter undersized for a 29 gallon tank IS a big deal. It would have to move 290 gallons per hour to be able to handle your tank, and I can almost bet the 105 does not.

If you can direct the stream from the 105 toward an object it should break up the current some and help. Be sure to fill the tank full enough to have the water flowing back into the tank, covered as much as possible, this should also help the disruption in the tank.

Tell us about what you have for fish, and fill out the aquarium profile if you would, it will help us give more thorough advice. Different fish react to currents in different ways.....Good Luck
