Hi, I have taken the carbon out of my Eclipse 1 filter cartridge and eventually I will want to replace the media entirely. I see various options available including blue bonded pads and micron filter pads available from DFS. I would appreciate anyone who has experience with these pads (or something better). It would be nice to have something that was reusable and efficient. I have a planted tank. I also have considered placing some biological media under the mechanical media even though it is redundant with the biowheel. Any suggestions on that line would be appreciated too.

I've used the blue bonded pads from DFS in tanks from 2g to 30g and all kinds of filters. They are really durable and some filters have had the same cut piece for almost a year now.
