Does my goldfish tank need a filter??
I spoke to Petsmart, where I buy all of my fish supplies,
and they said that they don't really need one.

Hi a&j,
Is that the same tank in your aqaurium info?
Goldfish are big waste producers, so yeah, I would have a filter.
I had goldies for years without one, but I would never do it again.

Yes definitely ! if you did every other day huge water changes maybe not but it is much healthier and easier to have a filter and heater.

I'd have plenty of filtration on a goldie tank.. I'm not sure how they say those things with a straight face at the store.
