Bio Wheel Replacement?

Hello all... I'm a newbie to this site and have a question. I have a 50 gallon Eclipse Bio Wheel Tank that I had up and running for about 4 years. Around Sept of last year, I had to take it down (I moved) and store it and it's been in storage ever since. I'm going to be setting it back up this weekend (Very excited!) My question is do I need to replace the bio wheels? They've been sitting in my garage in the hood assembly for 5 months... They are most certainly dried out. Help! What says the experts?? Thanks in advance.

I know that they say you never have to replace the bio-wheels but since theyve been sitting im not sure. It wouldnt hurt anything to replace them since the bacteria is all dead anyway. If you can get replacements cheap then Id do it, otherwise just clean them well and reuse them...

Thanks everyone. I decided to just reuse them.... I had to thoroughly clean the tank because it was so nasty, so I figured if there was any chance of any good bacteria still on the wheel, I was going to try.

P.S. Tank up and running and looks great.
