I just realized that I never introduced out newest member of the family :)

About a month ago, we decided to get a friend for our dog Jeffrey, and we ended up rescuing the sweetest little dog from the local shelter. She had been there for almost three months and nobody had adopted her (she was probably going to get put to sleep soon), which was shocking because she is just the sweetest thing! We named her Daisy. She is a two year old poodle-terrier mix and is only 10.5 pounds. She loves playing with Jeffrey and spending all day in my lap. I have never met a more affectionate dog in my life. Anyways, here are a few pics. I hope you enjoy them :)

BTW: They had to shave her, so she looks kind of weird right now, but once her hair gets longer she'll be much prettier ;)

I let my boys out like I always do. My next door neighbors have these two OBNOXIOUS poodles who bark at my dogs the whole time they're outside. I've had to train my dogs to ignore them. That was NOT an easy task. Both of my dogs will normally accept a challenge and bring it to them.

Hagan, my giant schnauzer didn't come in when I called. I turned on the light since it's dark and he's on his back paws with his front paws on the retaining wall sniffing the fence while the next door neighbor's UNALTERED male poodle is trying to pull up the chain link fence to beat him up. Hagan isn't barking or anything. I honestly think he enjoys aggravating them:;laughing

Cool...even a place for dog questions on here! Ok, here goes. I have a puppy that is 1/2 german shep and 1/2 dachshund,,I know..very strange mix but he is actually totally adorable! His name is Parker (for Ball Park hotdogs). The trouble I am having with him is this...I want very much to get him housebroken but can't really start because he is one of those that everytime you reach down to pet him, he gets so happy that he just "leaks" everywhere. Plus he seems like he is scared of being inside. Whenever we bring him in for a few inutes, he just hides, either behind my legs or under the chairs. Any suggestions??

I'm hoping one of you can help me with this. My sister and her family recently took in a red heeler puppy. They were at a flea market and it was the last day, the guy who was selling the puppies was going to dump him off somewhere because he was done dealing with puppies. Duke was the last of the puppies and he caught the eye of my ten year old nephew so he told the story to my sister and her husband and they took him home with them. Shortly after having him at home they realized that he was deaf. They have been working with him but two kids and other animals makes it hard to devote all the time needed to trying to train him. They live on the main road in town and he has taken to running out the gate/door whenever it opens and she's afraid that he will make it out on the road in front of their house.

She recently did have a dog that was hit on that road because the gate wasn't closed properly and he squeezed out the tiny opening. The dog that was hit was a little chihuahua, Rascal, he managed to survive the accident thanks to a woman who saw the car hit him without slowing down, the lady stopped all traffic just to pick him and move him out of the road. Thank god for angels on earth that's all i have to say about her, she truly is a great person who ever she is. Anyways he did make it out with only a broken leg and that in itself is just amazing for a five pound dog.

So in short I'm looking for some help finding a rescue here in Illinois or even someone willing to give him the family he deserves. I have been looking for places but i feel like I'm just going in circles with it all. She did find a Heeler rescue but they refused to take him because he was deaf. So his being deaf has posed a bit a problem. So if you guys know of any places that would take him please let me know I don't want this little guy getting hurt.
