Jolleys (waterlooville, uk) TERRIBLE!!!

i visited the Jolleys branch in waterlooville for the first time today and i wish i hadnt the fish were kept in terrible conditions. There were at least 2-3 dead fish in everytank. but one tank really got my attention the entire tank (about 30 fish) pretty much had white spot (which seems stupid when they sell the stuff to treat it but do they use it?... no!) there were at least 9 dead fish in the tank and many more looked like they were dying. i ended up buying 5 of the female bettas in the tank just to try and save them from this who knows if they will survive. but ive never seen anything that bad!

In my town there is a pets at home shop and the fish section is bad (but not as bad as the shop you are talking about), literally there is probably a dead fish in every tank and they sell fish at such high prices. It's horrible, but the rest of the shop is fine.

That's often one of the biggest differences between a chain and an LFS. An LFS will usually avail itself of the knowledge, equipment, and supplies that it carries if necessary. A chain doesn't usually care, since it can easily just order more fish.

yeah true. i just wanted to have a look as i dont have much of a selection of LFS as i dont drive. the female bettas were 3.25 each (pounds). which i didnt think was too bad but then i had to spend more on the white spot treatment for the ones i bought!
