I picked up some endlers Tuesday evening. They swam around fine until I turned out the lights.

When I woke up the yesterday morning and turned on the lights, only 1 was swimming. I could see 3 others just resting on my sand, and the other 3 were nowhere to be seen.

I dropped some food in, and they all came to life. Swimming, and eating and chasing each other around.

Last night, after work they were swimming around, no problems. But again, this morning they were all just sitting on the sand.

Do Endlers sleep like this or is there something wrong?

I have got a pair of endlers livebearers, my female does 'sit' on the bottom sometimes and when the light goes out she just gently swims in the same place through the night so i think its normal

Butterfly

Many fish (endlers among them) will sink to the bottom to sleep at night. I turn my room lights on about 15minutes before I turn the tank lights on so they can get awake.
