They breed alot,Oh!

I must admit i bought these fish knowing nothing about them other than they fit my water parameters and are peaceful livebearers, they looked nice and are small enough not to really affect bioload. As i was acclimating them i noticed a couple of fry in bag but dead,so i began reading here about them and judging by the females size i can expect fry! How many do they have?

http://www.endlersr.us/ - we have endlers, but they've not dropped any fry yet. That website is a good one to keep for endlers owners.

Lets put this into perspective here.
They are also known as split or lyre tail guppies.
And what do guppies do?

U now have the reason why...lol

well, i spoke too soon. We have our first batch of endler fry tonight. She dropped 7 fry that are now happily swimming about their tank.

Endlers can crossbreed with guppies, but aren't guppies. Our endlers are of a swordtail variety but are pure endlers. You'll find the Endlers R Us website to be a great source of information on the many types of Endlers along with all aspects of Endlers care.

I see after looking closer, I see they have a full tail. There are lyre tail guppies with the same coloration.

Endlers and Guppys will interbreed and their very pretty but since Endlers habitat is being destroyed and they are virtually extinct in the wild responsible fish hobbyist are trying to keep the breed pure.
http://www.endlersr.us/ is a great place to see all the different colorations available in endlers and just to learn about them.

Ah cheers all,i checked that link out which may havec answered my next Q or maybe not. I was gunna ask why 2 of my endlers have different eyes in that you can see there pupils. The others have full black eyes? From reading on the endlers r us site im lead to believe it may be from cross breeding? Any thoughts anyone?
