cichlid

hi i have got a problem with my fish my electric yellow male is chasing my electric yellow female to breed but she doesn't want to. she now has cut up fins and is always hiding behind the filter what do i do?





i have nowhere to put her either.
any suggestions would be welcome thanks.

You should have a male female ratio of each species of 1 male to 2+ females. It will level the aggression out.

Also, if the aquarium info is correct the jewel cichlids and angels are not compatable with the malawi's.

thanks for the reply ill add more females but the angels and jewels get along with the other fish fine but the jewels are a pair

They may be fine for now but they require different water parameters than each other, and as they are adult mbuna they will tear apart the angels and jewels.
