| They should be getting ready. Some say if you simulate seasonal changes typical for spawning that particular fish, it will breed easier...more food, fresh or frozen, cooler water to simulate spring water run-off, frequent water changes or less water changes (different folks have had different results), changing lighting patterns to match natural daylight schedules... For me, it seems when I feed blood worms, my fish go into breeding mode - I haven't had fry from my cichlids yet - they are too young and have eaten their fry before they spit.
