Do everyones electric yellow's HIND?

i think i mite have a problem? my electric yellow's arent eatting and they dont come to the top of the tank for food. Its like the are bottom feeder?

Yellow labs are mbuna which means rock fish...they prefer the bottom of the tank as do other Mbuna species from Lake Malawi.
How long have you had them? I found it took a bit for them to settle in here when we got them.

They do prefer the bottom as above mentioned, my mbuna had to get used to me so to speak now they beg at the top of the tank for food.

The friendly greeting of a swarm of Mbuna at the top of the tank is what I wake up to everyday, but only when they are hungry.

Isn't that most of the time w/ those pigs? lol...
To Black J. They truley are bottom rock dwelling fish, so if they do hide in the rocks alot don't be surprised. They will even pick through the gravel/crushed coral/sand at the bottom on the rocks and glass eating small stuff/algae.

i have had the electric yellow for 3 months and i have seperated them, i have the 5 that i want 1 male and 4 female in the 4 foot tank and i am selling my other five and i am trying to start a community tank in the 4 foot.

I am trying to start a colony of electric yellows. i have decided to buy electric yellows from everywhere and decided what 1's i want to keep. mainly the brightest and nicest coloured ones.
