Infected DG???

Ok i just recently bought a powder blue DG and he seemed to be doing fine and got along with all the other fishes during the first 2-3 days, but this afternoon i see like half of his body is turning gray and his mouth is also turning gray.
i have a feeling he isn't going to last any longer and really need some help in identifying whats wrong with him.

here's some pictures of what he looks like currently (pictures took on a camera phone sry for the bad quality)

pretty much half of his body is gray and his mouth is puffy and gray and between his eyes is like this gray dent that looks like a crater.

I'm sorry your Gourami isn't doing well.
Could you fill in your aquarium info? It would help the members to help you.
What size tank is he in?
How many and what kind of tank mates?
What are your readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?

you said he has a whole? it could be Whole in Head Disease, but its too soon to draw conclusions...
There has been a virus going around in DG called "Iridovirus", there's a thread going around, but i dont have a link with me right now.

29 gallon tank
5 xray tetras, 1 angel, 2 corys, and an oto
ammonia=2 nitrate=0 nitrite=0 pH=7.2

*the xray tetras has also been nipping on him since he was introduced into the tank

you havent finished the cycle. Your ammonia is really high. Do you know about the nitrogen cycle? I would do a WC right now to lower the ammonia. Get some Prime Conditioner to neutralize the ammonia for the first 24 hrs.

really? i thought that my tank was already cycle, its been up and running for about 4 months now, but ok i guess a WC sounds like a good plan at the moment

You've got a couple of issues going on.
Your tank isn't cycled. Ammonia is toxic to your fish.
It would be a good idea to begin daily 50% water changes and use Prime as your water conditioner to detox the ammonia for 24 hours between changes. Do this until your readings are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites with 5-10 nitrates.
Here's an explanation of the Nitrogen Cycle

It would also be wise to move your DG to another tank so he doesn't get picked on anymore.

He could have been infected even before you got him from the store. Did you check the other fishes in it?

welcome to fishlore!! im sorry for your sick baby...I agree with lucy that the ammonia is killing him for some reason you lost your cycle if it was already done and completed where you had 0 for ammonia/nitrites, and under 20 nitrates...2ppm for ammonia is super high and the water changes are a must with the prime to detox....the prime will do wonders with him feeling better and is needed asap before you loose the other fish babies also...good luck!
