Something's wrong with one of my Gourami's...?

Help - i have 3 dwarf gourami's, just brought one of them home tonight, so i don't know if its the new one or not...but he lays on the bottom on his side, then will swim to the top, tail straight down, then just fall back to the bottom....what's wrong with him? all the other fish are fine...my nitrite level is high, still cycling apparently, but i treated for that about an hour ago - hoping that will fix him....?

Hello. Hate to hear that one of your fish isn't doing too well. I suggest a 30 to 50% water change. Add some Prime or Amquel + (I use the Amquel +) that will detox the ammonia, nitrites and nitrates for 24 hours until it's time for another water change. Since your tank is still cycling and you have fish in the tank it may take some work on your part to keep the fish alive. I suggest doing this daily until you have 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and 5-10 nitrates. Best of luck for a speedy recovery.

I'm really sorry he's not feeling well.
Sounds to me like he's feeling the effcts of an uncycled tank.
The other fish in your tank probably don't look effected (even though they are) because they've been exposed to the toxins a little at a time to get to the current level.
The new guy came from a cycled tank and popped right into a tank of nitrites.

Please, no more fish until your tank is cycled.
Follow Aquarists advice on water changes.

Oh no!!!!! Hate to hear that you lost him. Keep up with the water changes as I mentioned above for the safety of your other fish.
