| It's not so much the male/female thing (as I pointed out in another thread, this is mostly a livebearer issue), it's that dwarfs tend to not do well together in small tanks. All of the labyrinth fish have a territorial instinct that seems to be at least partly based on something other than sight, and I'm guessing that the problem becomes compounded in a small tank (for example, if it's a chemical smell, it gets concentrated in a small amount).
So it might be a good idea to remove one or two of the inhabitants, but we don't like to deal in absolutes around here except when something is a really, really bad idea (like cramming an Oscar in a 5g tank). |
