Agreesive Gourami!!!

I got 2 new Pearl Gouramis today, but my Dwarf one keeps chasing them around. He's a male and they are two females. He keeps chasing them and especially during feeding time, he was really agressive. What can I do to stop it? I don't want to get rid of him! I like him alot!

keep an eye on him he should get used to them and hes agression should decline. but you want to make sure the pearls dont get beat up

Make sure they have a lot of hiding places, too, especially thick plants (live or fake doesn't matter). Also, it sometimes helps to move things around in the tank -- the 'different' scenery will make a territorial fish think it's in a new territory, and not be quite so aggressive defending it.

i agree with jsalemi, in my tank before i had lots of plants my dwarves were very aggresive then i put a handful of live plants in and they settled right down

Okay, I tried to catch him with a net to seperate them for awhile, but I can't he keeps escaping, and I think I ended up scaring the Pearls some more. But this morning, my parents said they were swimming together, but I just got back and he was chasing them again. But I'll try to rearrange it later today. Hopefully they will get along.

Okay, they seem to get along now. I guess he was just kinda freaked out seeing new fish lol.
