I got a Dwarf Gourami 5 days ago and since he mainly lays on the bottom of the tank and only comes up for food (which he doesnt eat much of).Today i found him laying on his side on the bottom of the tank, i did a 50% water change when i started taking water out he started swimming agin.
He doent look sick. He lives in a 10gal with 2 platies
How does a Dwarf Gourami behave/act and if somethings wrong what could it be??

The best thing to do is do increased waterchanges, maybe as much as 50% every other day for a week or two. It is hard telling what is wrong with the dwarf gourami without perhaps a picture or any other descriptions other than lethargic behavior.
Theres not much to say but 1 of my platies has become a bit less active and lies on the bottom sometimes but he lays straight up and doent look sick. Both fish look fine i dont see anything wrong, ill try to get some pics.
I tested my water and everything is good 2nitrite, 0nitrate, 6.8PH
the syptoms of fin rot best match what is wrong with the dwarf but the only this is i dont see any roting of his fins?... I have salt should i add some? i used it when i had sick mollies

Sorry to hear that. Gourami can be sensitive to diseases. I would have tried a mild antibiotic for gourami considering that I am not experienced enough to identify the diseases. Anyway you did the best you could. RIP.
