| Sexing Dwarf Gouramis Are there any other differences besides the colors of the Gouramis to determine the sex? And besides the 1M/2F ratio, would 3M work? Because I can't find a LFS/ LPS that has female dwarf gouramis. |

| I read that rounded dorsal fins denotes females, and pointed to males...but mine has a rounded one and its fins are kinda dull...but when I got it at a LPS, it said it was a male, but could it possibly be a female? |

if there is sufficient hiding, 3 males would be okay...but not preferred
...could you try getting a pearl gourami, and more tetras? |

| I have a 29G that has decent amount of hiding spots...and are Pearls aggressive though? And I want more Gouramis because they are so beautiful...and I'm already happy with my x5 Glowlite Tetras... |

| pearls are the most peaceful gouramis...they do like to be in pairs, but they are extremely nice to have in a semi-agg tank
when i mentioned your glowlites earlier, i meant you could add more of them, so they would be happier and less likely to nip at other fish's fins |

| Most dwarf gourami sold in chain stores are males.
The females are rather drab silver fish, compared to the males. |

| Here is a pic of my tank...not natural looking, I know, but pretty to me none-the-less =P
I've been trying to get my Gourami to go in the mushroom tree thing so he can swim in out of it, but he's only done that once. So maybe if I add other Gouramis, they will establish their territory in the mushroom tree thing? |

| if you add a couple more plants, that would give 3 males a better chance of co-existing
other than that, it looks good! |

| I would not add more male dwarf gourami in to the tank.
In a store tank, there are so many they cannot establish dominance.
With just 2-3 in a 29 gallon tank, you are going to wind up with dead fish. |

| Awwww poop! I love them so much too...they are so pretty...anyways...back to my first point...can you determine the sex of my Gourami? I kinda outlined the dorsal fin because it won't stay still for pics... |

| I'll think I'll just get Pearl Gouramis, those are pretty, and any specific ratio for them to keep? Or are pairs good with them? 'Cause if it is, I'm going to get them and then shrimp. |

| shrimp would probably be a bad idea...the BN or dwarf will probably eat them
i would reccommend a group of 3-4 loaches that stay under 5"...they are really fun to watch and keep the bottom clean from extra food |

I saw the Angelicus Botia that looks extremely beautiful, but I heard it's expensive and I can't find a price for one. |

lets see, you have a DG=>3"
BN=>6"
2 pearls=>8"
3 loaches=> 12"
total of 29"
that would be a nice tank...maybe you could add some live plants later (good beginner plant is the water sprite)
i have an angelicus botia, he cost me $10...but he is well worth it, he really like to hang with my other bottom feeder, i'll try to find a pic of him and post it here |

| Would 1 Angelicus Botia Loach be fine? So that...
5 Glowlites=7.5
DG=3
2 Pearls=8
BN=4-5
AB Loach=4
Total of 26-27?
Because you said he likes to hang out with your other bottom feeder, so will he feel relaxed with my BN?
And are Java Moss/Amazon Sword Plant/Banana Plant good? 'Cause I want to get those. |

| my guy like hanging with the shark 'cause they have the exact same shape, and he thinks he is some sort of loach...friendly fish
it might hang with a bn...but probably not, the loach is very active...while bns aren't near as active
i guess he would be ok, but he would be much happier and much more active with a friend...
