Another Driftwood Questions

Hi All,

My tank is pretty well stocked, minus the last 2 black phantom tetras I am waiting for, and I finally found a piece of driftwood I like. However, I am having one problem with it. It has a slate base, but it still will not sink. I bought if from the LFS, and they told me it should not be a problem sinking it. Does anyone else have a suggestion? I am waiting for the plants I ordered, but wanted to put the driftwood first to let all the tannin out. I am open to any suggestions .

Also, free red Ramshorn snails if anyone is interested. If you want to pick up the S/H....Thank you all

Re: Another Driftwood Questions

Take a drill and make small holes into the wood, in areas that will not be visible on the woood once it is placed in the tank.
This will increase the rate the wood will take on water.
