Pics of my new pieces :)

Here are the two pieces of manzanita wood that I picked up off of craigslist for 10 dollars each. Thanks so much to everyone who helped me figure out how to treat them in my other thread. I didn't have access to a power washer, so a nice scrub down in a hot shower did the trick Hubby wasn't too happy that I used one of our new special sponges that are for our George Foreman Grill to do the scrubbing, but he got over it

The guy that I bought them from asked me what I was using them for and I told him they were for my aquariums. My husband rolled his eyes and said "You wouldn't believe how full of fish tanks our house is". The guy gets excited and looks at me and asks what kind of fish I have, then goes on to tell me that he used to have 12 tanks in a one bedroom apartment! You should have seen my husband's face!

Anyways, here's some pics

Great peices! The tanks look awesome.
lol@ the 12 tanks. That'll teach your husband to think you have too many.

I bought a stand off craig's list. When my husband and I went to pick it up they invited us to look at their tanks.
I don't even know how many they had. They had some in the living room, dining room and a basement full. All running. lol
My husband has nerve to complain about my 7! lol

Thanks Lucy We had the same thing happen to us once when I bought fish off of craigslist. I stayed for an hour chatting to the couple about fish! Our husbands don't know how lucky they are, lol

Thanks so much Cesch My camara has been having issues and I finally fixed it today, so of course I had to run around my house and take pics of everything, lol. You know its bad when I go through withdrawls when I can't take pics of my fish, lol.

Thanks Carol I have been wanting some larger pieces for so long, but I couldn't afford them, so I was so happy to find some that were decently priced. I felt like my 80 gallon was so empty before, but I think that huge piece pretty much fills it up, lol.

It's always fun to "talk fish" with people who are as into the hobby as we are.

TY Shawnie! I am so glad I brought my husband with me to get them. I was all for getting these huge pieces that I was convinced we could fit in my tanks. My husband talked me into smaller pieces, and thank goodness he did cause I barely got them in there, lol!

I have never found anything cool at the beach like I know a lot of members on here have. I lucked out because this guy had just chopped down the manzanita trees in his back yard. You may want to try searching craigslist for manzanita wood. That's how I found mine
