Such a lovely healthy looking tank. Awesome driftwood. I could be interested in some plant starts as I think I am buying my 55 gallon tank this coming weekend.

Thanks Lindy. I was really nervous about starting a planted tank because I wasn't sure how hard it was or how much work it would be....

But put it this way...I planted this one in May 09 and by Aug 09, I had two others...

Here are my others...one 10g with Neons and Apple Snails and my other 10g which I split for 2 bettas

Beautiful Tanks! Are those all low-mid light plants? I can see you take care of your tanks and plants really well. Great job! I also have a 10g planted tank but struggling with purchasing co2 systems so expensive! Nice piece of driftwood as well, awesome buy!

Yeah...I'd say that they are all low to medium light plants.

My tanks are all very low tech setups. I don't run any CO2 (althought I've contemplated the DIY method for my 55g), but I do dose with Excel.

All are at about 2.5w per gallon. My 55 has 130w lighting and my both my 10g have 26w. The lights on my 10g are the basic spiral CFLs that you can buy at walmart...they actually do a really good job.
