don't wait for the plants, get the driftwood into the tank so it can "cycle".(see the driftwood notes about that) and you can find the best placement for it...then after that short period plant away!! I have some different mosses coming to try out...can't wait.

i would not put it in there if it was pine or cedar cause os the sap, like lucy said, it could dammage the fish and tank

trying Java, Christmas, and Star mosses. found them at AquaticMagic.com but they sell on Ebay quite a bit....prices seem ok and they offer a 6x6 chunk of java moss. which I can cut up for starter pieces....takes a while to get growing good. I ordered direct and takes a while to get them...ebay might be faster.
Yea getting the wood set up buys you some time before planting....get in good place check lighting etc....then plant and you can leave it alone.

This looks pretty good. Now I need the blasted plants to show up, another week, but this is good, the wood can get settled in the mean time.
I have been looking around at moss, i am going to have to upgrade my lighting if I want plants to grow and thrive the way i want them.

nope, no plecos, only a couple corys and way too many tetras. the tank is new. thinking of red parrots for the center.
do you see a hole in the wood, not a pleco?
