Buying Driftwood on Ebay?

Anyone ever done it? I was poking around on ebay today and noticed quite a large selection out there. I was curious what kinds of experiences people have had buying through ebay.

Any good or bad sellers to be aware of?

I'm not sure that I'd put driftwood bought on ebay in my aquarium. It's taking too much of a chance for me...but I'm not a big risk taker either. If you do it, I'd ask lots of questions first!

I got my two big pieces in my 90g from Ebay. It worked out well, and even with shipping was less expensive than getting it locally, plus I like the pieces better.

These two pieces:

im an avid ebayer also and anything you buy for your tank, whether it be ebay or your LFS, should ALWAYS be boiled and sanitized thoroughly ...as far as the safety of ebay, check their reputation, and get a paypal account ...

I bought driftwood from Ebay a few years ago. It was a great deal, shipping was cheap, since the wood was light from being dried out. I did have to use something to sink it tho, but other than that, I had a good experience with buying driftwood from Ebay. I would suggest finding a seller that has good rep and see if he cleans, purifies and bakes the wood at a heat temperature to kill any bacteria, in other words, treat the wood for you.
Ive seen some great looking driftwood on ebay!

I got mine for my 55 on eBay. Cost around $25 shipped for the piece I wanted, and smaller pieces were going for $40-$50 at LFS here. I put the piece in a 5g bucket and boiled a few pots of water then poured it in, let it soak an hour, repeat. I changed the water about 5 times over an afternoon and let the last one sit overnight. The next morning I changed the water again and in the afternoon the water in the bucket was still clear, so I put it in the tank. It was a heavy piece that didn't need to be weighted down.
