Hy, could I cut my piece of driftwood in half and still use it in my tank? the piece is really long and It takes up half the tank and I want more room, could I cut it with a handsaw and it could still be safe? thanks!

Cut it, smash it, I don't think that it really matters. You might have some extra tannins but if you use a clean hacksaw blade you should be fine.
