How to get driftwood to stay at the bottom again??

I have a peice of driftwood that is a few years old that was from my tank I am going to put it in the "albino bristlenose fry tank". However it doesn't want to stay at the bottom anymore where its dried out so much, how do I get it to stay at the bottom again??
Thanks

You could drill holes part of the way through the wood to help it saturate faster.

You could boil it and leave it in water to cool. Boiling it would, in theory, make the wood expand much the way doors expand in the summer and contract in the winter.

I recently had a piece that would not sink. So I simply sat a river rock on it for WEEKS then kept taking it off and putting it back on until finally I took it off and it was waterlogged. May not be the best way to some but it's how I got it to stay. Just make sure if you do this, whatever rock you use is aquarium safe.

We just put heavy rocks on ours until the driftwood stops floating to the top.

I found boiling the wood for a while, then letting it sit in the pot until it cooled, then soaking it overnight in a tub of cold water makes the mopani driftwood sink like a rock.

Attach a weigt to it and as it absorbs water, it will sink naturally.
