New DoJo Loaches

Got a couple more Dojo loaches for my Birthday friday Click the image to open in full size.
The pet store was keeping them with salt in their tanks and they were literally turning belly up. There were four in the tank but one was too far gone. The other three were struggling one more than the others. I brought the three home and very slowly acclimated them to water without salt. Two are doing really well, one is still alive but will be a bit before he will fully recover.
They had only been in the tanks for 24hrs and the salt affected them that much. It really messes with their osmoregulation.
They are about the size of a straw so they are still small. Here's a couple of pics. Haven't taken any pics of the one not feeling well I don't want to over stress him. They are still in quarantine for now and the tank looks messy I keep the quarantine tank full of algae and some plants. Frequently new/sick fish won't eat but they will pick at algae and the microscopic critters growing in it .
Before anyone asks the shell is a feeding dish LOL

I love their whiskers too. They are real soft and when the bigger ones nuzzle my hand looking for food they tickle The bigger ones sit in the current and their whiskers blow back around their noses like a long mustache in the wind LOL
These new babies will be a great addition to the tank after a good quarantine time and some good food and water.

They are a great little fish. I have been interested in getting some myself. I'm worried that if I do, they'll go into hiding like my Kuhlis and not see them for weeks!
I just can't understand what the pet store's thinking is! Strange people out there.
