In particular, the euglenoids that are responsible for making your water look green seem to thrive when
ammonia levels are elevated. Reducing the amount you feed your fish, or finding a tank large enough for the inhabitants (dojos can get
up to 9-10") would both likely help control the ammonia levels in the long run, in addition to the immediate green water cures mentioned in the above thread.
