A few questions

can these guys live in a out door pond?

what is their max and min temperature?

are they okay as a single specimen? or do they have to be in a school?

what foods are good for these guys? are flakes and beef heart good enough?

how much would you pay for one under 4 inches?

how much would you pay for one over 4 inches?

are they peaceful enough to live in a community tank?

here is a link for some information on the Dojo. Read what you can on them and if there is something missing hopefully someone with the Dojo's can give you the answer.

As far as prices go, it would vary from country to country. So its hard to give an answer on what would be the best price to pay for one. Here I have seen the Dojo go for about 7.00 dollars US and that is for a small one.

i read that and it said they need temperature below 76F. i was planning on putting 2 in my 55 gallon tank (i am restocking) and i was wondering if they could live in waters at 77F. these will be the tank mates.

1 marbled gold angelfish 3"
1 shubunkin goldfish 5"
1 rainbow shark 3"
1 albino BN pleco 1.9"
1 common BN pleco 1.7"
1 tandanus catfish 3.8"
1 yellow panchax killi fish 2.5"
1 clown loach 2"

77°F is right at the upper range of their preferred temperatures. Loaches.com has their ideal temperature range listed at 50-77°F. They then go on to say that higher temps often lead to health problems:

Quote:
Although an adaptable species, keeping them in artificially warm aquaria is definitely not recommended. Higher temperatures stress the fish and can shorten their lives.

Also, in warmer waters Weather Loaches are more susceptible to infections.
In general, mixing temperate and tropical fish is not ideal.

They can live as high as 77 but I wouldn't go over that if possible.
But I think you are already pretty stocked with bottom feeders especially with a clown loach. I know they are all small now but once the BNs and clown loach get to full size it'll be a bit crowded.. I think the tandanus will definitely outgrow your tank too.

the BN's might get moved and the clown loach might be going too, along with the killi fish and goldfish
