Aquarium for Dojo and Goldfish

I'm thinking about possible aquarium setups I might want to try in the years to come ...

... about how big a tank would I need for three adult goldfish and one adult dojo loach? 50 gallon? 75 gallon? Any potential problems in keeping them together?

Thanks,

Micah

goldfish are a huge bioload. you need 20g for one, and 10g for each additional one.

plus Dojo loaches get up to 10" dont they?

im guessing 75 gallon..

has anybody here kept dojos and goldfish together? Seems like they would be a good pair...

Well, by that formula, for three goldfish, 20+10+10 = 40 and then add 10 more for the 10 inch dojo loach ... would make 50g.

While we're at it - I've heard so much recently about the added bio-load of gold-fish - but why not just combat this with a stronger filter (i.e. a 75g+ filter in a 50g tank??)

I think that would be a cool tank, but I would suggest getting 3 or more dojo loaches since loaches are social fish and usually enjoy being in groups
