| Re: vaccination plz help Hi, this is something that should have been discussed between the breeder/person who sold you the dog and you. The breeder/person who sold to you should have dewormed him and given him his first puppy shot. You may want to call you breeder/where you got him from before taking him to get dewormed or given ANY shots. Having too many distemper shots right in a row can kill or GIVE your dog distemper. So please call the person you got him from and ask him/her about which shots/wormings have been done, once we figure that out I can tell you what other shots he should have.
But to get straight to the point, no, deworming is not neccessary before puppy boosters. He will need a fecal check to see if he has internal parisites when he goes to the vet, though. Brianna |

what kind of food i should feed my pup( Home made or Dog food available in the market like Pedigree) | Has this pup even been to the vet? Your pup will need his first puppy shot either now or at 8 weeks, preferably now if he has not had a vet check. He will need another puppy shot in another 4 weeks, then the final one in another 4 weeks after that. At between 12-16 weeks he will need rabies, we usually get it done with their last puppy shot. Use a softer type brush that will not or hurt your pup, maybe a metal bristle with plastic tips. This is important not to get a brush that will hurt him because he will not enjoy grooming, which he should learn to. Start grooming every day for about one minute, then slowly increase the time every week. ALso touch his feet and ears softly to get him used to touching.
We feed Iams Smart Puppy food. We feed this to about 5-6 months, then we switch to Purina O.N.E. Lamb and Rice. DO NOT feed the Iams Adult lamb and rice, the protein levels are far too low. Chicken is also good, so if you don't prefer the Lamb you can feed Iams Chunks, its a good food, we feed it to our small dogs (but only MINIchunks, they are smaller). Good luck with your new pup. Hi, Your pup should be eating about 1 cup twice a day at this stage in his life. I would not feed him milk and bread. And pedigree is mainly corn, dogs are carnivores. Pedigree Canned food is good though, as a treat every now and then, just a teaspoon on his food in the mornings. PURINA, Eukanuba, Iams Chunks or Minichunks are good. They have real meat as the 1st ingredient, whereas pedigree is mainly corn and grains. In general, any foods that have meat as the first ingredient (chicken, lamb, turkey, fish) and have a good amount of protein (25.0+). Brianna |
