I bred and showed Cocker Spaniels for 25 years...This lady was one of the top breeders...She should be ashamed of herself! Anyone in the TX area who is looking for a Cocker should check these little guys out...I'm sure they are in need of good homes!

The owner of these dogs should be punished with the same treatment to her that she allowed these dogs to receive.

Oh Karen that is horrible! I would adopt them in a second if I was closer! People that treat animals like that make me sick. I have adopted neglected dogs my whole life, and with some of these animals, the damage that is done to them psychologically is hard to repair. My current puppy was neglected and abused before I got him, and even though he is a happy dog now, he is still fearful in certain situations. Its so sad

I am not allowed to put into words how I really feel about these people. That is just so uncalled for. I have also rescued dogs most of my life and have a couple of rescues still with me to this day. I have my first long-haired dog now and I am learning how to groom her as far as cutting her hair right now. She might not look so good sometimes but she is clean and healthy. I will be forwarding this to my daughter who is not too far from Houston and I am sure she will put her 2 cents in on it she has no problem speaking her mind to anyone. This just makes me so angry.

I couldn't bring myself to open the link... I can only imagine the horror it must contain.
I have a 6yr old cocker spaniel, she's my second cocker, I've had her since she was 8weeks old. The sweetest most lovable creature on the face of tthe earth. She lives just to please, to give and receive love, as most dogs do.

Dogs are truly little angels. I always say they are better than humans, in so many ways. We tend to hold grudges and sweat the small stuff, and look at dogs, so forgiving, even of the most horrible offenses against them, and to people who truly don't deserve their loving forgiveness.

What a shameful waste that some people (like that lady in Texas) fail to see the beauty, innocence, and higher intelligence, that these lovely creatures provide!

That's terrible...I can't imagine actually knowing the woman. That she clearly knew better and certainly had the ability to find homes for the dogs (I'm assuming they are from halfway decent lines and that she still had connections in the Cocker Spaniel circles) almost makes it even worse.

I truly can't understand how one could treat another living being in that fashion...especially one like a dog who clearly learns and suffers.
