What a CUTE buggeroozle you have there!!! My fave kind of cheeky face!!!!

I have seen those bits you have described in one of my dogs that had colitis. It was controlled well with drugs but if i were you i would have that pup at the vets as many times as poss until you have an answer. MAY very well be the rice too, let's be horrid, it's not gonna come out white!!! I also fed my colitis dog rice!

When was pup last wormed?

Hope all will be ok, i'm sure it will. My 'God dog' Archie, had part of his bowel removed last week............STRESSSSS..........he went home ok BUT back in a vet hosp tonight!!!! He's a 2 year old Rottweiller and a big soft numptey!! He has NO idea that he is meant to be butch/fierce etc all he wants is to sit on your knee and cuddle!!!!

Is there any yellow in his kibble? That may not break down fully? ( like corn for us? SORRY to be vile) I have seen what you descibe and my memory is TRYING ( it's gone 1am here)to work overtime!!!!!

Did you take a sample of the stool to the vet? If your vet can see what the issue is, it may help with the diagnosis.

If he has a bad tummy it could be bile from the stomach !
unlikely to be rice as its so easily digested

Bile would be more green than yellow. I don't think it's the rice either. It sounds more like corn or popcorn seeds or, sometimes diarrhea comes out in little balls instead of runny. It could be that puppy is allergic to something in the food. My sis has two dogs and one of them is allergic to soy. The vet told her to give her dogs a weight loss formula instead of the normal formula they were on, and her female australian shepherd broke out in a bad bumpy rash a couple of days later. The only new ingredient in the new food was soy. She stopped that food and the rash went away.

I didn't take him to the vet but I did talk to him on the phone. He said it's probably some kind of bacterial imbalance from all the junk he eats when no one is looking. He put him on flagyl, twice a day, for 7 days. I haven't seen any improvement yet but it has only been 2 days. He said if it's not that, it might be a food allergy. I really hope he gets better soon.

I know this is gonna be gross... but when i have issues with my dogs my vet asks me to get a sample and bring it in. Have you thought about taking a sample of whats in his stool to the vet so he/she can see exactly what it is and color..
