As many of you know, I had to get rid of my 3 prescious kitties because of my allergies about a month ago. I was really sad, but my new boy Jeffrey has made the transition a lot easier. He is a wheaton terrier and cocker spaniel mix. We had to shave him because he was so matted when we got him from the shelter, but usually he is a curly shaggy dog with hair about 4" long!!!

Thanks. I used to have a pure bred cocker but we had to give her to a friend when we moved. We move from a house into an apartment and had 3 cats at the time. Now that the kitties are gone we have room for another doggie in our lives I love cockers though. They are such people dogs!

He's pretty darn shaggy when he hasn't been clipped, but I don't think I could deal with the hair that your dog had!!! He's beautiful, but it looks like it would be a ton of work to keep up with

Yes, it is a ton of work lol...I bred many Champion Cockers...I was a breeder for 25 years..It was a fulltime job running my kennel...

my baby girl has exactly the same summer do... shes an outside girl and hate seeing her suffering the heat with such fur coat!

I bet our two doggies would have fun together. Jeffrey LOVES other dogs and I wish I had the room to get him a friend. He is an inside dog right now since we live in an apartment, but he gets to go to dog park just about everyday.

I definetly agree! They have such good dispositions. My only complaint is this: Why do they get excited and pee all the time?! Jeffrey doesn't do that, but my other cocker spaniel that I had did. It drove me nuts! Do any of you guys have that problem with yours?

I got confused about the poop bags cause mine are brown lol! I guess I was having a blonde moment

You are lucky. My old puppy lives with my best friend now and she still pees constantly lol
