| Well, perhaps that store have another way of doing things. And their way is by supplying an insurance of 10 days for the buyer to buy. But serious paying quite a sum of money for an insurance for 10 days seriously don't sound worth it. So I didn't opt out from that insurance.
Well, I've searched about honey drinks for dogs. http://www.seefido.com/natural-dog-c...o_your_dog.htm
It's the link for the information about giving honey to dogs. Sounds okay to introduce dogs or puppies to a honey drink. Especially if they are having stomach upset I guess. Last edited by aquariumnewbie; June 19th, 2008 at 11:46 AM.

| I just noticed your flag.....dumb of me for assuming you were in the US. I'm so sorry!
Yeah, I would rather put the money towards a vet visit, then pay the store for their insurance.
Thanks for the link, it's very interesting. Last edited by Lucy; June 19th, 2008 at 11:09 AM.

| Lol. It's okay. I'm from Singapore anyways.
I also found that the link was interesting. Honey drink for dogs & puppies. Sounds cool. If anyone who got a dog that doesn't like plain water, then maybe you can try a honey drink. But IMO, I would not make it too sweet. I just add a tiny amount just enough to make it not tasting so plain. Lol.
So Lucy, you have a pet cat? Haha. |

| Haha. Then perhaps you can consider geckos too! They sound real cool too.
Perhaps you can also think of getting another pup or adopt one as well. But I think it would be a trouble trying to make the dog and cat to socialize.
Maybe you can try breeding a dog and a cat. Wooooo. Wonder what will come out if it's successful. |

| lol, Hey don't me started!
My daughter loves lizards and snakes and I happen to have an empty 20g with a screen top and a reptile heat pad.
At one time, I had 3 dogs and 2 cats and they got along great.
You might be too young to remember or maybe it was only shown in America, but here's the outcome of a cat and a dog: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0154061/ |

| Wow! Your daughter is really cool to fancy lizards and snakes or I should say, reptiles! Haha. You should get started! It could create a special bond between you, your daughter & the reptiles! haha.
CatDog! I remember this show. It's also shown in my country's kids channel. Lol.
It might happen in reality! Try it! |

If tomorrow he is still having diarrhea and vomiting, I'll take him to a vet along with his poop and puke for the doctor to check it out.
Just asking if anyone can advice me on how to improve his condition? Or is vet the only option left? | Puppies tend to be very sensitive to even a small change in diet. I tnink you mentioned giving him a treat. Was it something he was unused to? Also, you have been feeding him only dry food, and he's accustomed to a mixture of wet and dry. It's probably the "change" that is upsetting his digestive system. Most vets recommend 24 hours with no food or drink, for vomiting and diaherra. Then introduce food slowly, and only what he's used to eating. Any change you make should be done gradually....I'm always a little nervous with the no food or drink for 24hours...I'm comfortable with this only if I'm certain the animal is not dehydrated. Good luck! |

| Yeah. I agree that puppies are sensitive to tiny changes to their diet. For what I know from the store that I bought my puppy from, the puppy's diet was a mixture of wet canned food and dry food. But I gradually reduce the amount of the canned food because I want him to be on pure dry food.
As I've a personal thinking that the brand of canned food isn't a good brand. So I decided to stop it. & wow I didn't know that vets would recommend a 24hr stop of food and water. I would be like you. Very nervous about the dog being without food and water for 24hrs.
But today I've went to a pet store to buy some extra stuffs for my puppy. Like some puppy perfume, powder, etc. & I've mentioned about my puppy's condition to the person there and he introduced me this supplement for my puppy. It's said to build up his immunity system. DSC01235.jpg
It looks like this. I was told to give half a tablet to my puppy. My puppy accepted it with no problem. So I guess he will be fine. |

| Yay! My baby is fine already. His appetite increased by a lot. And his stools are back to solid and firm. Though there are still a slight amount of watery ones. But majority are solid and firm.
Guess his digestive system is back in shape. & I think the reason why his appetite increase is due to the supplement we bought for him. Stronger immunity means healthier dog & healthier dog means good appetite!
Just updating! |

| Awww. The eyes in the second picture are all like, "I know I'm cute, but if I don't show that I know, they will tell me more."
Nice pics.
As for other animals:
150ish fish tanks, 4 dogs (1m 1fm basset hound, 1 harlequin great dane female, 1 mutt male), a bunch of wildlife that eats our garden and weeds (deer, rabbit, raccoon, possum, etc), and several dozen families of blue-tailed skinks that live in/around our porches, the fishhouse, and various sheds on the property.
There is a huge turtle that migrates through our yard a couple times a year going from creek to creek. Our pond used to be a stop on his journey of watering holes, but our up-stream neighboor put a dam in.
Again, very CUTE pictures! |
